What is Luxury Mayhem League?

A makeup competition run like a sports league. Here is how it works, who competes, and when Season One arrives.

Luxury Mayhem League is a makeup competition run like a sports league. Teams of makeup artists compete against a clock, judges score the results live, and every match is filmed for YouTube.

That is the short version. The longer one starts with a belief we hold firmly (and repeat often): makeup is a skill. It takes training, speed, and judgment under pressure, the same things we admire in any athlete. What it has never had is a place to compete like a sport, with teams, rules, and scores that mean something. So we built one.

A league, not a show

You will not find manufactured conflict here. The pressure comes from the clock, the story comes from the work, and the ending comes from the score. When a judge gives a number, they explain it in front of the room, so everyone watching learns what great makeup actually looks like.

How a match works

Every match runs in four beats:

  1. Teams take their stations. Each team brings its artists, its coach, and its color.
  2. The clock starts. Artists work in timed rounds. When time runs out, the work is locked and can’t be touched again.
  3. Judges score live. Every score is called out and explained.
  4. A winner every match. Results post the same night and count toward the season standings.

Who competes

Season One has six teams: 4Ever Flawless, Celestial Beauty, Silk Label, Rich Doll Empire, Artistry X, and Rejected By Society. Each one chose its own name and color, and each one is built from working artists, the people who do this for a living.

Season One is full. Salons, beauty schools, brands, and artist groups can apply for a Season Two team.

Where we are now

Our Pilot Season is filmed: one studio, three teams. Season One films in Spring 2027, and every match goes up on the league’s YouTube channel.

How to follow along

Pick a team. Find your favorite artist. Argue about the score. The easiest place to start is Instagram at @luxmayhemco, and this blog, where we will break down the techniques, the scoring, and the people at the stations.

If you are a beauty brand, there is a seat for you too. See how partnership works.
